The Vintage Cellar Review: The bouquet is floral and
lightly jammy, with berry aromas and a savory note or two. To the uninitiated, this is a great
introduction to Bonarda. Finishes solid.
Very sweet, berry smell with some rooty
undertones. Kind of dry, makes your lips
pucker.
My Review: This wine smells of deep blueberry jam. It’s very dry and alcoholic, bitter, and
probably would be a lot better with food, but it’s too harsh on its own. It’s unpleasantly alcoholic and I cannot
distinguish any flavors while the smell is rather fruity. I expected more. I can’t help but dream of a peanut butter and
jelly sandwich with cinnamon and ginger in the peanut butter!
