Tasting Deer Rock Farm White Wine

Name: Deer Rock Farm

Country: U.S.

Delfosse Review: A blend of 33% Chardonnay 33% Sauvignon Blanc 33% Viognier. Aged 7 months in neutral French oak barrels.  A sweet tropical aroma conveys through the light floral notes and fresh fruit. Pear and peach taste that integrates nicely with the acidity.  This is a fruity sweet white wine.  Aged in neutral oak, this wine is a light crisp summer wine.  Drink cold as an aperitif or with lighter fare.
My Review: This wine is so sweet it tastes like sugar water with a hint of apple juice.  It really does nothing for me.  It lacks acidity and tastes like a very watered down juice.  There is not much scent, not much complexity.  There really isn’t much to say about this sweet wine.
